Allow Addons to be Uploaded Differently

The way that is currently used for adding addons (giving it a url) is nice. But that should have been the second or thrid way to add them. We should be able to place the addon in the folder and the blog recognize the addon and add it to the list. Or be able to browse our local computer for the addon and add it to the blog.

I was just trying to place them in the wrong folder. Heh oops. But I still believe an upload feature would be great. Since a good amount of the time the blog will be installed on a server and ftp is just an extra step. With the browse and upload it would be very simple. You always want one of the eventual goals to be where you do not need ftp except for the original install.

Hum.. ok. I tried just placing them in the folder at first but never could get the blog to see it. However I will try it again. I just quickly (too quickly) assumed that it did not work that way.

Actually, this is the second way to add them.

The original - and still valid - method of installing an add-on is to place it in the folder, as you suggest...

Browsing the local computer is probably of more use to developers, but we can definitely look at that option too.
