Auto matic plugin updates

Plugin automatic update notification from admin area. I am not sure such functionality exist or not but I love it.
May be plugin will have update url which return current version and admin periodically check version for plugin.

It would be nice if all links for Plugins actually work. I have found several Plugins that go to dead links and others where links have been moved on the developer website.

    I like this idea...

    Ideas:
    1) plugin url could be added to the XML file.
    2) from plugins page, admin could scan plugins for updates, either one at a time or all together.
    3) Not sure about auto-updating, only because a change could break things, but this would certainly make it easier to keep plugins updated.
